ACIS Consulting Selected As Vendor of Record for Government Online IT Services
TORONTO, Ontario, 14 May 2003
ACIS Consulting, a Systems Integrator and provider of enterprise search and classification technology services such as
FAST Data Search™ from the Norwegian enterprise software firm Fast Search & Transfer™ (FAST™), announced that it has
been selected as vendor of record to provide Informatics Professional Services for the Canadian Federal Government
Online initiative.
Government Online is an ambitious initiative of the Government of Canada, which was first articulated in the Throne
Speech of October 12 1999. The initiative describes the Canadian Government intention to become "the government most
connected to its citizens, with Canadians able to access all government information and services on-line at the time
and place of their choosing."
Vendor of record companies are selected following a rigorous process, with many of Canada's top companies competing
for a place on the vendors list.
